The latest version of HTML is HTML5; its acronym refers to the HyperText Markup Language. The three words that make up the name of this programming language fulfill a precise function in the composition of a website.

HyperText. Refers to hypertext, the text linked to other content, whether files or more text. This is where the operation of the Internet sites that we know starts.

Markup. Refers to the brand or label in the HTML5 computer language, and it serves to identify each element of a website.

Language. As in any other language, rules and structures must be followed. That will help in the structure of a Web site, and that is precisely what the word language denotes.
